I don't know if this is related to the previously posted polygon dissappearance
letter but here goes.
I created a LW scene which has a bouncing football with our company logo on it.
For logo mapping purposes I copied polygons from the football in Modeler and
created a seperated object which I clip mapped in layout. I parented the logo
object to the football and scaled the logo object to avoid rendering errors.
Unfortunately I didn't scale it enough because in some frames some of the
football polygons rendered over the logo object polygons. I rescaled and tried
again. The problem remained. Then I got the bright idea to render the logo
object seperately and composite it with the ball using alpha channels later.
Here's where the real problem comes in. Out of 111 frames only the first 23
images actually show the object. Almost every frame should have something on it
but this is not the case. I've tried rebooting and I've tried changing the
memory cofigurations, nothing seems to work. Lightwave doesn't even acknowledge
the presence of the object on frames where the object doesn't render, yet the
object appears on every frame in wireframe.
The scene uses motion blur and depth of field and the camera is approximately
5.5 meters away from the object.
What's the deal?
